We are starting week three of National Novel Writing Month, and by midnight tomorrow we should have reached half of our total word count. How close are you?
Week one went well for me, or at least better than week two anyway. My fantasy novel is weird, and I enjoyed describing the strangeness in a way that readers would understand (I hope!).
Unfortunately my health was poor during week two, and I got very little written. As a result, I’m way behind on my word count and nowhere near 25,000 words for NaNoWriMo or 45,000, which is half of my personal target.
However, to quote Mr Incredible, ‘I still got time’. Borrowing techniques from Chris Baty in No Plot? No Problem! I’m hoping to write a few 6000 word days and get back on track.
How is your progress? Are you happy with your novel? What’s your word count? Tell me all in the comments.
I need the book titled No Sleep? No Problem. Then I’d be on track.

Sickness always gets in the way. Do what you can but don’t push it. 😊

You’re welcome. It just seems to add more of a burden when you feel guilty about life getting in the way.

I’m confident you can catch up! Hope you feel better soon and can get back to letting those words flow! I’m well behind too, though I am blaming work for keeping me too busy to have much energy for writing in the evening!

Thank you. I hope so. I’ll try to get as much done this month as I can. Good luck with your writing! I think you’re doing great.
