As the final week of NaNoWriMo 2019 begins, I look back at week three with mixed feelings.
Yes, I increased my word count and it is likely I will reach 50,000 words before the end of the month.
Yes, my writing speed has increased, and from reading back the last paragraph at the start of a new writing session, it isn’t as horrendous as I thought.
However, I don’t think I will reach my personal goal of 90,000 words this month. I shouldn’t see this as a negative, however. I’m writing daily, my fantasy novel is shaping up well, I’m blogging regularly and my second collection of short stories is released next week.
How is NaNoWriMo shaping up for you? Have you reached 50,000 words yet? Are you happy with your novel?
I think you should feel very pleased with yourself. Getting to 50000 words in one month will be fantastic, but getting into daily writing routines even better! I love your blog, and look forward to reading your new collection. I doubt if I will make the 50000 for Nano, but I hope to come close.

Thank you. That means so much. You’ve still got time to make it to 50k, but you’ve still done great writing this month.

I struggle enough to write my posts and would never attempt a novel. But I wish you all the best with the writing!!
