Next Read
The Final Wars End by A. S Asthana.
I loved the first two books in this trilogy, and I’ve been eagerly awaiting the final installment. Now that it’s here, it’s been difficult restraining myself from diving right in, but I’ve 16+ books I’m currently reading that I need to finish first.
Next 5 Star Read
Swashbuckling Cats edited by Rhonda Parrish.
I can’t wait to read this anthology. First of all – pirate cats on the seven seas, that’s a 5 star read right there. Second of all, anything with Rhonda Parrish’s name on it is bound to be excellent. Third of all, that cover! It gets 5 stars all on its own.
Next 1 Star Read
I don’t get this prompt. I find it mean to name a book as a 1 star read when I haven’t even read it, and I only read books I expect to enjoy, whether I do or not. Is that weird?
Next Love Interest (or character who seems really cool to you)
The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow.
I’ve heard nothing but good things about this book, and the titular character of January Scaller sounds very compelling. I hope she lives up to the hype.
Next Book You’ll Be Buying
The Southern Book Club’s Guide To Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix.
I love the title of this book, and I’ve read great advance reviews, so I’ll be grabbing a copy when it’s released on the 7th of this month.
Next Book That Will Leave You With A Book Hangover (And Desperately Wanting A Reread Or Next In Series)
My last book hangover was Joseph Sale’s Black Gate trilogy, and I’m looking forward to reading them again after I’ve finished reading all his books.
Maria Alexander wrote one of my favorite horror short stories – Vivisection – a tale that continues to haunt me to this day. I can’t wait to get stuck into this YA trilogy. With the third installment due to be published soon, I think it’s the perfect time to start reading the series.
Thank you once again to Jenna for tagging me. It’s a really fun tag.
