It’s that time of year… again.
After writing a novella in April, I’ve decided to write an epic space opera this month. If you’ve read Return to Hades and Other Adventures, you may be aware of the space mutant, Ebony, from the title story of the collection. The plan is to write a whole novel about her life in space.
While it had always been my plan to write this book in July, I was in two minds whether I’d go ahead. You see, feisty diminutive Ebony was inspired by Littlest Pup, and after her death last month, I didn’t know if I had it in me to write this novel.
However, after discussing the matter with family, I have decided to go ahead. I’ve changed the plot of the novel, but I’m going to attempt it.
I’ve also decided not to record my word count on the official Camp NaNoWriMo website. I’ll keep track, and post weekly updates here, but otherwise I’ll be an unofficial participant.
Anyone else setting a Camp NaNoWriMo Challenge this month? Tell me all in the comments.
I am going to write a fantasy novella – at least that is my intention! 🙂 I won’t be officially participating in NaNoWriMo either this month. Maybe November… Best of luck with your story, I see it as a tribute to Little Pup

I’ve never done Camp NaNo, just the regular NaNo in November. Good luck with your space opera!

Thank you. If I can do it justice, I think it will be a good un.
