Yes, I know, I’m a few days late with this.
My good friend and feared leader, Rami Ungar, tagged me a while ago and, October being the month it was, I’m only getting around to it now.
The Rules
Provide a short description of your story.
Eighteen months after experiencing the Halloween from hell, Vicky Murtagh is now living in Galway city on the west coast of Ireland.
Unable to leave her apartment and haunted by her past, she has to determine if the zombies that surround her are figments of her imagination or if she’s Ellen Ripley unlucky enough to be among the undead once again.
Perhaps attractive veterinarian, John Tighe, who has moved into the apartment across from Vicky will be able to help her.
Find out in Seven Weeks in Hell: To Hell or to Galway, the second book in the 7th Hell series.
Don’t use the same character for more than 3 answers.
Ok.
Questions and Answers
It’s Halloween night, what’s your protagonist dressed up as?
John Tighe is a lovely man, but perhaps not the most imaginative, so he’d probably wear his scrubs from work, get a cuddly toy dog and pour fake blood over everything. He’d call it zombie vet and patient.
Who in your cast refuses to dress up and shows up at the Halloween party without a costume?
John’s father, Seamus. He calls it All Hallows’ Eve and focuses on the feast of All Saints on November 1st, so he’s not into costumes and scares. He’s happy to spend time with friends and family though, and have a chat over a few drinks and snacks.
Which character wears the most outrageous costume and what would it be?
Vicky’s landlady, Mel, is bound to turn up in something that’s just a bit too much. A pregnant nun in a sexy habit would be right up her street.
On Halloween, werewolves, vampires and zombies are on the prowl. Which of your characters get caught in their clutches, and which creature do they subsequently turn into?
Zombies, obviously! I can’t say more than that.
Who wins the contest for best costume?
Violet Casey. She’d aim for Hollywood levels of detail in her costume, but something attractive of course. Maleficent perhaps, or Daenerys Targaryen. It’s nice to play the bad guy for a night.
Who hands out toothbrushes to the trick or treaters?
Probably billionaire Gerard Mannion. He is all about encouraging people to live their best life, and I’m sure he doesn’t think cavities factor into that.
Which two of your characters decide to pair up and do an angel/devil costume together?
Mel and her daughter Jo. They’d fight over which of them would be the devil, and then try to outdo each other with most revealing costume.
Someone is too scared to even attend the Halloween party. Who is it?
Definitely Vicky. She’s not scared of Halloween exactly, she’s just scared of everything. A few years ago she’d have rocked a sexy cat costume, but now she’s more into self preservation.
Who overdoses on candy and gets sick?
Vicky again, I’m afraid. She always had a sweet tooth, but eating candy is as fun as she gets these days.
Which character is most likely to put a hex/curse on someone and who would they put it on?
Violet Casey. She’s not a vindictive person. She’s all about live and let live, but it’s hard breaking the glass ceiling in accountancy in Galway, and she’s fed up of people underestimating her. Plus, it’s all in good fun. Curses aren’t real, right! Right?
Great answers, Iseult! BTW, the new book’s release date was rescheduled, wasn’t it?
