Keeping the tradition of ghost stories at Christmas alive and well comes this heartwarming tale from Michelle Brauer.
After getting married, Addie receives a long letter from an old neighbor upset that she wasn’t invited to the wedding. When she visits her for Christmas, will Addie ever be the same again?
This is a sweet short story that is suitable to read at any time of the year, but especially at Christmas. Addie and Gideon were a likable couple, and I thought their character arc was subtle and well done.
I knew the plot twists and turns that were coming as I read, but like driving a familiar road going home at the holidays, I was happy to travel upon it and reach the destination.
I look forward to reading more of Brauer’s work.

Good review. I like a familiar path at Christmas, too, when I’m in a certain holiday mood.
