Every month the awesome folks at Black Hare Press have a themed call for dark drabbles – deliciously disturbing stories of only 100 words.
Their most recent theme was Asylums, and I’m thrilled to announce that they accepted my horror Drabble – A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste – for publication.
Getting the acceptance email was a wonderful start to January, and February opens with a bang because my story is now live on Dark Moments over at Black Hare Press.

It doesn’t take very long to read a Drabble, so why not check out the other Asylum themed stories while you’re there, or read back over the different Dark Moment themes.
Black Hare Press also publish quality novellas and anthologies, so you should check out their catalogue while you’re there.

Enjoy!
Your drabble is excellent. You managed to build the story up in so few words and then deliver an emotional gut punch at the end. Wow!
