Every year Rhonda Parrish organizes Giftmas to raise money for charity. I’ve taken part in the blog tours the last few Decembers, but this year Rhonda decided to shake things up.

This year Giftmas is a month long creative extravaganza where participants will be setting a writing, painting, editing, knitting, drawing, videoing, (insert creative activity) goal and asking kind supporters to pledge sponsorship if we reach our goal, or directly donate to the Giftmas fundraising page.

The charity this year is Doctors Without Borders.

You can either

• Donate directly to the fundraiser because you want to just support it straight up
• Pledge to donate to the fundraiser if I reach my goal

The ‘Pledge’ option also breaks down into two different sub-options.

Donors can pledge a certain flat amount, or a sliding amount based on how much I do.

For example, Sean might pledge to donate $10 if I reach my 60k word goal. Or he might pledge $2 for every 10k words I write. It’s super flexible.

Update
