WWW Wednesday – 1st April 2026

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What have you recently finished reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading “A Lady’s Guide to Monsters and Moonlight” by Julianne Sharpe, the latest release from Silver Thistle Press. Silver Thistle Press publishes amazing books (I’m not at all biased. They published my Christmas horror, “The Thing in Christmastown”, and will publish another of my books this year), and so I had to pick this novel up as soon as I heard about it. The blurb describes it as Jane Austen meets “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, which is a resounding yes from me. I’ve read about 20%, and I’m loving it so far.

What have you recently finished reading?

I finished “The Curse He Chose” by Allison Regina Gliot FSP yesterday. I was so excited to read a Catholic vampire story written by a nun. Unfortunately, I missed where it said it was a romance. This book is closer to “Twilight” than “Dracula”, and was not for me.

What do you think you’ll read next?

“The Tenacious Tale of Tanna the Tendersword” by Dewey Conway and Bill Adams has been on my TBR for a while, and I think April is the month to read it. I’m still on a fantasy binge, and this middle grade book looks tonnes of fun.

What are your current, recent, and future reads? Let me know in the comments.

Two of these books are already on my TBR so looking forward to hearing what you think of them. I avoid romance (but how disappointing!). Currently reading The Rain that Makes the River, book two in The Blind Age fantasy series, by Steven WIlliam Hannah, just finished The First Rule, book one of that series, and about to read ‘Love Rolls In’, a middle grade story by Erin Soderberg Downing
