WWW Wednesday – 6th MAY 2026

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What have you recently finished reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I’m reading a lot of books at the moment (at least 6) and they are not getting the attention they deserve. I may have to narrow my reading focus for the coming week.

The Intruders” by Michael Marshall. I watched the TV adaptation and found it intriguing, but unsatisfying, so I got the book to see if it answers my lingering questions. So far, it has not.

ShadowBane” by Cal Logan. Still slowly making my way through this intriguing fantasy set in a feudal Japan with lots of demons.

Made no progress this week with “Early Medieval Ireland AD 400 – 1100: The evidence from archaeological excavations” by Aidan O’Sullivan, Finbar McCormick, Thomas Kerr, and Lorcan Harney.

What have you recently finished reading?

Finished “Starlight Jewel” by E.L Lyons. An intriguing world. Lots of political intrigue and comments on colonization. The sprygans are great creatures. I would like to know more about them. I loved their creepy voices in the audio book. The hybridization between sprygans and humans (how does that even work? I don’t want to know who decided to find out if it would) adds a welcome touch of horror to the fantasy.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Black Rose” by Arlo Z Graves is the Willow Wraith Press Indie Book Club book for May, so I have this novella locked and loaded on my kindle. I love stories about cursed weapons, and this book looks lots of fun.

What are your current, recent, and future reads? Let me know in the comments.

Thanks, Valinora. I’m so behind in writing reviews. I’ve a lot of catching up to do!
